I don't have any pictures from yesterday yet, but we had a wonderful time. Timi, Nancy, and I had a wonderful drive to Peoria. Ate at McAllister's, which was across the parking lot from Scrapadoodle. Check out Nancy's blog. The class was incredible. I wasn't able to take a class from Wendy Vecchi when she was at FKS, so I was thrilled to be there. Wendy is so sweet and so talented. We made the coolest flowers using her stamp sets which are at For Keepsake. We sat at a table with Linda Cain. She was so nice and I can't wait to take a class from her. Wendy Vecchi brought her take on Tim Holtz's bird art which were so cool PLUS she brought projects that she has made for us to look at. All I can say is WOW! Thank you Wendy for sharing your talent with us.

After the class we ate dinner and started home. What we thought was going to be an uneventful 3 hours home turned out to be 6 hours!!! Who gets lost on major highways? We do!!!! Leaving Peoria instead of going East we went West. It was pouring rain and the wind was horrible. It took both hands on the wheel in a death grip to keep the SUV on the road. We just kept following the cars in front of us. About 85 miles later, yes 85 miles, Nancy says we really should be in Springfield by now. She turned on my GPS in the car, Yes, I have a GPS that we didn't use, and put in destination "my home". We then realized we went the wrong way. We traveled 85 miles back to Peoria and started over. Nancy and Timi kept me entertained and awake for the rest of the trip home. We had a adventurous stop along the way but that is an entirely different story another day!

It was a great time. The company was hilarious and fun. The class was spectacular. Time with friends and having fun exploring your creativity......PRICELESS!

KIM!
A few more miles and you could have spent the night at my daughter's house in the Quad Cities....Moline, Illinois. Sorry for such a bad trip, I had a feeling I should have led you out of town after I got onto the highway.
Next time...an escort to the right turn, I promise!

Your new Friend in ART,
Linda
