We've all heard in the news how hard Southeast Missouri got hit with an ice storm, well today I saw pictures of my husband's hometown, Lilbourn, MO. The damage from the ice is unbelievable. The town is still without electric. A gas station in town, which has older pumps, was able to hook up a generator and pump gas for people but ran out of gas with close to 40 vehicles still in line! People are starting to run out of gas for their generators. My in-laws came up to St. Louis to stay with us until the electric comes back on. I'm thankful they had a place to come because there are so many who do not. They are hoping for the National Guard to arrive soon. I'm hoping to put some of the pictures on the blog tomorrow.

Thank you to everyone for coming to my first class. I hope you had a good time! You know every time I teach, I learn something. Whether it be from preschoolers or my card class. Tonight I learned I can receive comments on my blog!!! Who Knew! I came home and looked and sure enough I had a comment on the blog. I hope to see everyone at the trunk show! Wish me luck tomorrow as I take my preschool class on a bus downtown to the Dental Theater.
As of right now we will be having class tonight. I'm on my way up to the store for an afternoon class with Nancy. Unless you hear otherwise the class is on! See Ya Later!

Mike and I went to the Star Spangled Gala at the Magic House tonight with a few of his colleagues. I have always been a big fan of the Magic House but I'm even a bigger one now!!! The new addition is amazing. There is a miniature government! I got to walk in the Oval Office! The new top floor has an amazing crime solving room. All I can say is a bookcase moves! I highly recommend it to children of all ages. I wish I wasn't dressed up because I wanted to climb the 3 story beanstalk!

My class has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 28th, at 10:30 am and 6:30 pm. I am very sorry for the inconvenience. I was teaching Tuesday at Preschool and that nasty intestinal virus going around hit me like a ton of bricks. Today I am starting to feel that I've returned to the world of the living! I hope you all can make it the 28th. If you can't, I understand and would be happy to meet up with you at the store and help you make the cards!
I hope to see you at the trunk show! I will have a cute valentine mini-card for you. I will also have my next class on display. It has been approved and the theme will be birthday cards. More later, I need to hydrate......

I went to the movies this afternoon with Steph and saw "Marley and Me". I loved it! I laughed and cried like a baby! Steph was hoping I 'd want to go to the animal shelter afterwards!

I'm very excited!!! People have signed up for the card class. I can't wait to see all of you there. Thank-you!

Our family has a big weekend ahead of us. Mike's family is coming to town and we are celebrating a belated Christmas. Even though the decorations are finally all down, we keep the holiday going at least for a few days. It will be good having everyone at our home.

I'm starting to create cards for February. The theme will be "Birthdays". There just might be one Birthday/St. Patrick card! Stay tuned. Please remember that I will bring different sentiments to the card classes. For example: "Thank you" instead of "Valentine's" or "Get Well" instead of "Birthday". I will have the different sentiments at class. I'm trying to make the cards versatile so everyone can enjoy the creating process and make cards you can send to friends or family members.

Quick story: Most of you know I teach Pre-K. A group of girls in my class went with me to the frig to pick out a drink for snack time. One of the girls said, "I hope its not wine!" I told her that we don't have wine at preschool. She told me, "Good! Because if you drink too much wine you'll get drunk!" Kids say the darnedest things!
